Our F1 Labradoodles
From Puppies to Adults
One of the most challenging aspects of breeding Labradoodle puppies is being able to describe to clients what the puppy will look like as an adult. F1 Labradoodles are born looking very much like Labs. To make my point, years ago when our first Labradoodle litter was born my mother in a very concerned voice said to me, "Oh no! Those are not Labradoodles... they're Labs." As the puppies suckled their Standard Poodle mother I laughed at my mom. She realized her mistake and had a good laugh. I told her not to worry, they'd "doodle up". From that point on we use the expression "doodle up".
